Building Contest Rules

The building contest was introduced as a way to encourage creativity and community engagement among our members. The rules were put in place to ensure fairness and fun for all participants. As the community has grown, so have the contest rules, with some modifications to keep things fresh.

The contest was initially open to all members, but due to the sheer number of entries, it was decided to limit it to those who have been active on the server for at least a month. This was done to prevent spam entries and give a chance to those who have made a genuine effort to contribute to the community.

One of the most significant changes to the rules was the introduction of the 'Theme Week' concept. For a week, a specific theme is chosen, and all entries must adhere to it. This adds an extra layer of challenge and creativity to the contest, as builders must work within a limited set of parameters. The theme is announced on the server's announcements channel, and participants are encouraged to share their progress and get feedback from their peers.

Due to some issues with cheating and harassment, the rules were also updated to include stricter guidelines for the contest. Any entries that are deemed to be cheating or harassment will be disqualified and potentially result in a temporary ban from the server. This is to ensure that everyone can enjoy the contest in a fair and respectful environment.

The building contest is always subject to change, but the core principles of creativity, community engagement, and fun remain the same.
