The last major change to the vote rewards was made in March, where it was decided to introduce a new tiered system. This change was made due to an issue with the old system, where the rewards were not being reset after a certain number of hours. As a result, players were receiving duplicate rewards, causing frustration and disappointment. The old system also made it difficult to balance the rewards between the different activities, such as voting for the player of the week and participating in events.
The new tiered system introduces different reward levels based on the amount of votes received. The basic tier rewards, such as in-game items and badges, will still be awarded, but players will also have the chance to receive more exclusive items, such as premium in-game content and special event access. The top tier rewards will be reserved for the top 10 players of the week, who will receive unique items and priority access to new content.
The change was made after a discussion between the moderators, and it was decided that the new system would be easier to manage and more fair for all players. The rewards are now reset every 24 hours, and the system has been tweaked to ensure that no player receives duplicate rewards. The new system has been running smoothly for the past month, and players have reported an increase in participation in activities and events.
One of the challenges of the new system is ensuring that players are not able to farm votes by exploiting the system. To address this, the moderators have implemented additional checks to prevent this, such as requiring a minimum number of votes within a certain timeframe. The system has been adjusted several times since its introduction to ensure that it is fair and fun for all players.
