The server experienced severe lag issues yesterday evening, causing a significant portion of the playerbase to disconnect. The lag appeared to be triggered by a particularly large update to the game, which added new content and mechanics, but also required significant processing power to render.

The moderators noticed the lag starting around 8pm, with reports of disconnections and poor performance from players. It became clear that the server was struggling to keep up with the demands of the updated game, resulting in a series of uncontrolled crashes and reboots. The moderators quickly assessed the situation and determined that the issue was caused by the server's hardware and software being unable to handle the increased load.

In response to the incident, the moderators took immediate action to address the problem. Additional hardware was purchased and installed, including a new graphics card and more RAM, to help alleviate the strain on the server. The moderators also adjusted the server's configuration settings to prioritize performance and stability, including reducing the game's graphics quality and disabling certain features that were contributing to the lag. As a result, the server has been running smoothly since the changes were implemented, and the playerbase has reported a significant improvement in performance.
