Weekly Leaderboard Reset Runbook

The reset occurs every Sunday at 00:00 server time. Confirm the current date and time on the server clock before beginning. Ensure all active players have finished their last match of the week before proceeding. No new games should be started during the reset window.

Log in to the server admin panel using the dedicated moderator account. Navigate to the leaderboard management section. Select the option to reset all weekly metrics. Confirm the reset action with the system prompt. Verify that the reset is applied by checking the leaderboard display for blank or zero values across all categories.

Clear the cache for the leaderboard display to prevent outdated data from showing. Restart the server’s frontend service to ensure all clients receive the updated state. Monitor the game lobby for any connection issues or error messages after restart. Confirm the reset is visible to all players by testing with a few different client devices.

Document the reset event in the server operations log with timestamp, actions taken, and any anomalies observed. Notify the moderation team via the internal chat channel that the reset is complete and the new week has started. Wait for two minutes after notification to allow players to reconnect and verify the new standings are accurate.
