Building Contest Rules

The current building contest rules were established in February 2021 following an incident where players were allowed to build in a shared area without permission. This led to an overdevelopment of the space, causing issues with navigation and game balance. The rule change was implemented to promote fair play and maintain the overall aesthetic of the server.

Prior to the change, contestants were allowed to build anywhere on the map, regardless of ownership or permissions. However, this created a culture of disregarding these restrictions and led to issues with other players' builds being obstructed or destroyed. The new rules state that building contests are restricted to designated areas, which are clearly marked on the map. Contestants must obtain permission from a moderator before building in these areas.

As a result of this rule change, we have seen a significant reduction in the number of disputes and issues related to building contests. Players are now more mindful of their surroundings and are working together to create a better overall experience for everyone. We continue to monitor the building contests and will make further adjustments as necessary to maintain the quality and enjoyment of the game.
