RIZZASTERIncident Review: Chat Safety Concerns and Enhancements

Last week, we experienced a couple of incidents where some parents were concerned about the chat safety on our Rizzaster server. A handful of teenagers posted messages that included inappropriate content, which was promptly addressed by our volunteer moderators. However, the incident highlighted the need for clearer guidelines and more frequent reminders for our users.
The main reasons for this issue were a lack of awareness among some players about our chat policies and a need for more detailed instructions on what is and isn't allowed. We observed that players who were new to the community or less familiar with the chat rules were more likely to make mistakes. Our moderators took immediate action, educating the involved players and reinforcing the guidelines.
To prevent such incidents in the future, we plan to implement a few changes. Firstly, we will send out a more detailed and comprehensive email to all new players, emphasizing the importance of adhering to our chat policies. Secondly, we will create a more user-friendly chat moderation tool that allows our volunteers to quickly flag and address any inappropriate content without delay. Finally, we will schedule regular reminders and updates on our community guidelines to keep everyone informed and engaged.
