Rank Requirements and Promotions

The rank requirements are in place to ensure that players are held to a certain standard of behavior and contribution to the community. The most basic rank, Member, requires players to have shown a basic level of engagement with the server, such as participating in chat, reading the rules, and generally being a decent human being. This rank is intended to be a safety net for new players who may be struggling to keep up with the community's expectations.

As players progress through the ranks, they are expected to take on increasingly greater responsibilities and demonstrate a higher level of commitment to the community. For example, a Rank 2 player is expected to be familiar with the server's coding and be able to contribute to bug reports and other issues that arise. This is in addition to their basic Member responsibilities. The Rank 3 player, or Assistant, is expected to take on more significant moderation duties, such as helping to resolve disputes and enforcing server rules.

The promotion process is as follows: a player must be nominated by two higher-ranking players and must receive a majority vote from the community to be promoted. The current promotion rate is that a player must have been a Member for at least two weeks to be eligible for a promotion, and that a promotion is awarded every 4-6 weeks. This rate can be adjusted at the discretion of the moderators, who have the final say in all promotion decisions.
