We've decided to go with a simple, straightforward report system for grievers, rather than a more complex system that tries to address every possible aspect of griefing behavior. This was driven in part by our concern that overly complicated systems can lead to moderators getting bogged down in details and losing sight of the bigger picture. Instead, we want our moderators to be able to quickly and easily identify and address the most egregious forms of griefing. This means that reports will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, with moderators using their own judgment to determine what constitutes a valid report.
When reporting a griever, please provide as much detail as possible about the behavior that led you to report them. Be specific about the actions the player took, and any consequences that followed. This will help our moderators understand the issue and make informed decisions about how to handle the situation. Keep in mind that the goal of reporting a griever is not to punish them, but to address the behavior itself and help maintain a positive environment for everyone on the server.
We've also decided to emphasize prevention over punishment. Rather than simply punishing players for griefing, we want to work towards creating a culture of respect and cooperation on the server. This means that moderators will be focusing on educating and guiding players, rather than just doling out penalties. By working together, we can create a more positive and enjoyable experience for everyone on the server.
