The decision to reset the survival world map on a regular basis has been a topic of discussion among the moderators. Our goal is to provide a dynamic and engaging experience for our players, while also minimizing the impact on their progress. After weighing the options, we have settled on a bi-weekly reset schedule. This allows us to clear out any issues or bugs that have developed over the past two weeks, while also giving players enough time to accumulate resources and experience.
The current schedule will reset the map every other Sunday, at 12:00 AM server time. This allows us to take advantage of our maintenance window, while also giving players a chance to settle in and prepare for the upcoming reset. We will also send out a notification to players about an hour before the reset, to let them know what to expect.
We've considered a weekly reset schedule, but have decided against it. While this would give players more frequent opportunities to accumulate resources, it would also lead to more frequent resets and a greater chance of losing progress. A bi-weekly schedule strikes a balance between these two options, and allows us to maintain a sense of consistency and stability in the game world.
It's worth noting that the reset schedule may be adjusted in the future, as we continue to monitor player feedback and adjust our game mechanics accordingly. For now, the bi-weekly schedule seems to be working well, and we'll continue to monitor its effectiveness.
