Staff Handbook for New Helpers

/archive/datapacks/maps/misc/ · last edited 08 Mar 2025 · Security

The Staff Handbook is designed to provide new helpers with an overview of the community's rules, expectations, and guidelines. As a new helper, you will be working closely with our volunteer moderators to ensure the community remains a safe and enjoyable space for all users. It is essential that you read this handbook carefully and ask questions if you are unsure about any aspect of your role.

The community's rules are in place to protect users from harassment, bullying, and other forms of abusive behavior. Our moderators are trained to handle a wide range of issues, from minor disputes to more serious incidents. As a helper, you will be expected to assist moderators in maintaining the community's tone and standards. This includes reporting any issues that may arise, helping to mediate disputes, and providing general support to users.

When working in the community, it is essential to maintain a neutral and impartial stance. Avoid taking sides or getting involved in personal conflicts. Instead, focus on providing guidance and support to users. Our moderators will handle any disputes or conflicts that may arise, and it is not your responsibility to enforce community rules. Additionally, always be mindful of your own biases and try to approach situations with an open mind.

If you are unsure about any aspect of your role or encounter an issue that requires assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to a moderator. They will be able to provide guidance and support to help you navigate the situation. It is also essential to familiarize yourself with our community's guidelines and rules, which can be found in our wiki and chat channels.
