So I was playing in the park yesterday and some kid started throwing rocks at another player who was trying to build a fort. I stopped them, but I think I should document this because it's a good reminder that we need to be more vigilant about griefing.
The kid who was throwing rocks was shouting insults at the other player and not listening to the moderator who asked them to stop. I had to step in and tell them to leave the player alone. They continued to shout insults even after I asked them to stop, which is a problem.
What changed was that the other players in the area started to get upset and leave the park. The park was suddenly empty, and the mods had to chase after the griefer to try and get them to calm down. It was a bit of a mess. After a few minutes, the griefer eventually left, but not before they had ruined the experience for a lot of players.
We need to make sure that we are all paying attention to potential griefers and stepping in to stop them. This means staying vigilant, listening to reports from players, and not ignoring suspicious behavior. If you see someone being a griefing menace, report it to a mod right away. We can't have players being bullied or harassed on our server.
