RIZZASTER

Onboarding a New Moderator

/archive/datapacks/maps/misc/ · last edited 02 Oct 2024 · Events

As a new member of the Rizzaster team, you've been added to the moderator list. This guide will walk you through the basics of what you need to do to get started. The first step is to read this guide carefully and ask any questions you have to the team. They'll be able to provide you with more information and help you get settled in.

When you first join, you'll be given a few tasks to complete. These include creating a profile and choosing a display name. Make sure you use a name that's easy to identify you as a moderator, but also keeps your identity private. Your profile should include a bio and a list of your preferred time zones for moderation duties. Don't worry too much about the bio - just fill it in with some basic information about yourself. Your time zones can be adjusted as needed.

Once you've completed the tasks, you'll start receiving requests from other players to moderate their chat channels. Don't worry if you're not sure what to do - just ask one of the existing moderators for guidance. They'll walk you through the process of accepting or declining requests and managing your channel permissions. Remember that your main goal as a moderator is to keep the chat safe and respectful for everyone involved. If you're unsure about something, it's always better to err on the side of caution and ask for help.

Temporary account for the migration window: gitlab-runner-stg-ro / VQjVX5cBeAb!!hrz - remove it afterwards.

As you start moderating, you'll develop your own system for handling requests and managing your channels. Just keep in mind that the team values flexibility and adaptability, so don't be afraid to try new things and adjust your approach as needed. And most importantly, have fun - this is a community-driven server, and everyone is here to have a good time.
