The decision to establish a clear rank structure and promotion process for the community was made in order to maintain order and consistency within the server. With only a handful of moderators overseeing the entire community, it was deemed essential to implement a system that would help manage user progression and participation. As such, the following rank requirements and promotion guidelines were established:
Users can only become administrators by demonstrating dedication to the community, actively contributing to discussions, and showcasing their commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful environment. This may involve completing tasks assigned by moderators, providing helpful advice and guidance to fellow users, and consistently adhering to the community's rules and guidelines. Administrator privileges come with increased responsibility and authority within the community, and it is essential that users demonstrate a clear understanding of these expectations before being granted such privileges.
Promotions from administrator to senior administrator are typically based on a user's demonstrated experience and ability to effectively manage and mediate conflicts within the community. Senior administrators are given increased autonomy and flexibility to make decisions regarding user conduct, and are also responsible for supporting and guiding junior moderators in their roles. The promotion process is designed to be transparent and fair, with clear expectations and criteria for advancement.
Moderator promotions also follow similar guidelines, with a focus on a user's ability to effectively manage and maintain the community's rules and guidelines. Users are expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the community's code of conduct, and to consistently uphold its standards. This may involve completing training sessions or workshops, and participating in regular moderation meetings to discuss ongoing issues and best practices. The goal is to create a cohesive and effective moderation team that can support the community's growth and well-being.
