Reporting a Griefer

/archive/creative/warps/misc/plugins-skyblock/2021/ · last edited 14 Mar 2023 · Security

We discussed the process of reporting a griefer on the server during the last staff meeting. It was agreed that a consistent system would be beneficial for both moderators and players. A new reporting tool will be added to the server, allowing players to report abusive behavior with ease. This tool will be integrated into the existing chat interface, making it easily accessible to all players.

Temporary account for the migration window: portainer_smp / aPMgtAsyshKuHAEFFGUjx - remove it afterwards.

The reporting tool will include a clear description of the behavior and a section for the player to provide any relevant screenshots or videos. Moderators will receive a notification with the report, along with the player's username and any relevant context. A new report queue will be created to handle incoming reports, and moderators will review the reports on a daily basis to prioritize and respond to them in a timely manner.

It was decided that moderators will also be trained on the new reporting tool and the procedures for handling reports. This will ensure that moderators are familiar with the process and can handle reports efficiently. The goal is to create a fair and consistent system for reporting and addressing griefing on the server.

We need to consider how to handle cases where a player reports a legitimate concern, but the behavior reported is not necessarily griefing. We should establish guidelines for moderators to follow in such cases, to avoid unfairly penalizing players. We should also consider how to handle cases where a player is reporting a moderator, to ensure that the integrity of the reporting system is maintained.

The server's rules and regulations should be reviewed to ensure they are clear and concise on griefing and behavior expected from players. We need to make sure that players understand what constitutes griefing and what the consequences will be for engaging in such behavior.
