The weekly leaderboard reset was discussed during the evening session. The moderators agreed to reset the leaderboard on Sundays at 12:01 AM, as previously established. This will give all players a fresh start for the upcoming week.
The reset will include all players, not just those who have been consistently active. This change was made to encourage participation from new and less experienced players. The moderators will also review the top 10 positions to identify any potential issues with player rankings.
The reset process will be automated, with a script run on the server's database to update the rankings. The moderators will monitor the server's performance and make adjustments as needed. There are concerns about the potential impact on server performance, but it is expected to be minimal.
Open questions include the timing of the reset, and whether the leaderboard will be reset separately for each game mode. The moderators also need to confirm the criteria for identifying and resolving disputes related to player rankings.
