At our last server meeting, we discussed the specifics of vote rewards and crate mechanics on Rizzaster. Moderators agreed to implement a tiered system for vote rewards, with increased rewards for frequent, consecutive votes and decreased rewards for sporadic voting. The current rewards system allows for 1-5 in-game items per vote, depending on the player's vote history. This system aims to encourage active engagement from our players.
Crate mechanics were also discussed. Moderators have decided to add a randomization element to crates, making it more unpredictable for players to get what they want. However, this randomness will be limited to 2 tiers of rarity, with higher tier crates having a higher chance of containing rarer items. Crate contents will be based on player activity, with more active players having a higher chance of receiving rare items.
Moderators also acknowledged that the current crate system has led to frustration among some players who feel they are not getting the items they want. Moderators agree to continue monitoring this issue and adjust the crate system as needed. Some questions for future discussion include how to balance crate randomness with player expectations, and whether to introduce more item categories to cater to different player preferences.
Moderators will review the current crate system and vote rewards over the next week before deciding on any changes. The goal is to ensure that our system remains fun and engaging for all players while also rewarding active engagement.
