The Survival world map reset is currently set to occur every three months, with the next reset scheduled for the day after the next full moon, which falls on March 18th. This means that the new world will be generated and reset on April 19th, at 12:00 AM server time. It's essential that moderators are aware of this date and make any necessary arrangements to minimize disruptions to gameplay.
Pre-reset preparations should begin 24 hours prior to the scheduled reset date. This includes tasks such as backping up important data, syncing player information, and testing any mods or plugins that may be affected by the reset. Moderators should also communicate with the server's web hosting provider to ensure that the server is properly backed up and that all necessary files are being retained.
On the day of the reset, moderators should log in and begin the reset process. This involves deleting the old world, generating a new one, and ensuring that all player data is properly transferred. The reset process typically takes several hours to complete, and moderators should be available to assist players with any issues that may arise during this time. A post-reset check should also be performed to ensure that the new world is functioning properly and that all necessary tasks have been completed.
Following the post-reset check, moderators should review the world map and identify any areas that require attention or modification. This may include tasks such as reconfiguring spawn points, updating spawn data, or making any necessary adjustments to the world's terrain or structure. Any changes should be carefully reviewed and tested before being implemented in the live world.
