The server's world files are backed up automatically every Sunday night at midnight. This backup includes all data, including player-owned items, homes, and servers. The backup is stored on a separate server that is regularly checked for integrity and completeness.
We also run manual backups every week on Wednesdays at 3 PM. These backups are a bit more in-depth and include all player actions and interactions. The manual backups are not as frequent as the automatic ones, but they provide a good safety net in case the automatic backups fail.
In the event of a server crash or other disaster, we will use the most recent backup available to restore the server to a previous state. This may not always be possible, especially if a significant amount of time has passed since the last backup. However, we will do our best to get the server up and running as quickly as possible.
It's worth noting that the server's world files are stored on a separate server, which is not directly accessible to players. The backups are sent to this server and stored there until they are checked and verified. This helps ensure that the backups are safe and reliable.
