Client Version Update

In October, we rolled out a new client version to the server. The main reason for this update was to fix a long-standing issue with server lag, which was caused by an outdated version of the client that was no longer compatible with the latest server software. The update included several bug fixes and performance enhancements, which greatly improved the overall stability and responsiveness of the server.

However, this update also caused a few issues with the mod pack, which is a collection of custom mods that add features and content to the game. Some mods relied on specific client features that were no longer supported, causing them to malfunction or crash. Our moderators had to spend some extra time troubleshooting and fixing these mods, but we're happy to report that most of them have been stabilized.

In the aftermath of the update, we also had to rebalance the server's settings to account for the changed client behavior. This involved tweaking the server's settings to ensure that the lag was no longer an issue, while also making sure that the game still ran smoothly. We've since made some adjustments to the server's configuration to prevent similar issues in the future.

One thing that's worth noting is that this update highlighted the importance of keeping the client and server software up to date. It also emphasized the need for our moderators to be vigilant in monitoring the server's performance and making adjustments as needed to maintain a smooth gaming experience for our players.
