Backups are taken every 24 hours at 2:00 AM server time. The system creates a compressed archive of the current world data and stores it in a dedicated folder on the backup server. These files are kept for 14 days, after which they are automatically deleted to save space.
To restore a world from a backup, a moderator must first stop the server completely. Then they locate the desired backup file in the archive folder, extract it to the world directory, and restart the server. No changes are made to the original world during this process unless explicitly requested.
If a world becomes corrupted or players report missing progress, check the timestamp of the last known good backup. The most recent backup before the issue occurred is typically the best choice for restoration. Always verify that the correct world folder is being replaced.
Only moderators with access to the backup server may perform restores. No one else has permission to view or modify backup files. All restoration attempts are logged in the server's admin log with timestamp and user ID for accountability.
