Our goal in onboarding new helpers for Rizzaster is to ensure a smooth transition for both the new members and the community. We want to set clear expectations and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of their roles and responsibilities. To achieve this, we have designed a structured onboarding process that covers essential aspects such as community guidelines, moderation tools, and communication channels.

Firstly, we have created a detailed manual that outlines the community's rules and expectations. This manual is concise yet thorough, covering topics such as acceptable behavior, how to handle reported issues, and the importance of maintaining a positive environment. We aim to equip new helpers with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions and take appropriate actions when necessary.

Secondly, we provide new helpers with access to our internal communication channels, which include a dedicated Slack workspace and a shared Google Drive folder. These tools allow new members to connect with experienced moderators and access important resources and documents. We emphasize the importance of regular communication and collaboration to maintain consistency and ensure that new helpers feel supported and included in the community.

Lastly, we offer ongoing training sessions and opportunities for feedback. These sessions cover various aspects of moderation, such as conflict resolution and content evaluation. By providing regular training, we can continuously improve the skills and understanding of our new helpers, ensuring that they are well-prepared to support the community. Additionally, we encourage new helpers to provide feedback on their experiences, allowing us to make adjustments and address any concerns they may have.
