On March 15th, we made some important changes to the Building Contest rules to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. We received feedback from the community, and we believe these adjustments will address some of the issues mentioned.
Firstly, the contest now has a stricter timeline for submissions. Entries must be completed and submitted by the 15th day of the month, with a 24-hour buffer for any last-minute adjustments. This will help avoid last-minute rushing and ensure a smoother judging process.
Secondly, we introduced a new scoring system that emphasizes creativity and functionality over sheer complexity. Judges will now be looking for buildings that not only look impressive but also serve a purpose within the game world. This change aims to encourage more thoughtful and meaningful creations.
Lastly, we added a new category for "Best Use of Community Resources." This will recognize and reward participants who effectively use the resources available on our server, such as the community wiki and shared assets, to enhance their building projects. We believe this will foster a stronger sense of community and collaboration among our players.
