Server Rules

The Discord server rules were discussed in our last moderator meeting and were agreed upon by the group. The main goal of the rules is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all members, while also maintaining the quality of our community. We decided to adopt a set of basic rules that outline expected behavior, prohibited activities, and consequences for breaking the rules.

We agreed that users should be respectful to one another, and refrain from using profanity, personal attacks, or discriminatory language. We also established that posting explicit or NSFW content is strictly forbidden, as well as spamming or self-promotion. Members are allowed to share their own creative work, such as art or writing, but must request permission from the moderators first. We will also be enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for griefing, trolling, or any other form of harassment.

The consequences for breaking the rules will include temporary bans, warnings, and in severe cases, permanent bans. We also established a system for reporting incidents, where members can notify a moderator directly or use the server's built-in reporting system. We will do our best to respond to reports promptly and fairly, while also taking into account the context and severity of the incident.

Open questions include how to handle cases where users are unsure of what is and isn't allowed, and how to deal with users who feel that their freedom of speech is being restricted. We will need to revisit these questions and come up with a clear and consistent approach to ensure that our rules are fair and enforced in a way that is transparent and reasonable.
