After last week's meeting, it was clear that server lag is a significant issue affecting gameplay and user experience on Rizzaster. The team discussed several factors contributing to lag, including the server hardware capacity, network connectivity, and the number of concurrent players. We decided to take a multifaceted approach to address this issue, focusing on both immediate and long-term solutions.

First, we will invest in more powerful server hardware to handle the increased load and reduce lag. Additionally, we will explore the possibility of upgrading our network infrastructure to ensure smoother data transmission. We will also consider implementing more efficient server-side coding practices and optimizing game assets to decrease processing time. Furthermore, we will limit the number of concurrent players during peak times to prevent server overload, though this may require further discussion on how to manage player expectations and ensure fairness.

Open questions that need to be addressed include:

What specific hardware upgrades are required and where should we allocate the budget?

How can we balance the number of concurrent players to ensure a good experience for everyone without overwhelming the server?

Can we implement any temporary measures to improve lag while waiting for hardware upgrades?

Are there any community or player feedback mechanisms we can use to better understand the impact of these changes?
