Our next step is to establish a regular backup schedule for the world files of Rizzaster. We aim to ensure that all game worlds are saved at least once every 48 hours to protect against data loss due to unforeseen issues such as server crashes or software bugs. This will also help maintain a consistent and reliable gaming environment for our community.
To achieve this, we will need to integrate a backup script into the server maintenance process. Currently, we are considering using a third-party backup tool that can be set to automatically run at specific intervals. However, we need to explore the feasibility of this tool and ensure it is compatible with our server configuration. Open questions include the need for a backup server or external storage solution to hold the backed-up files, and the frequency of manual checks to verify the integrity and usability of the backups.
We will schedule a follow-up meeting in one week to review the progress and address any issues that arise during the implementation of the backup strategy.
